VMWare Support

Roboconf has a target implementation for VMWare.

It only supports the creation of compute VMs, starting from a template with the VMWare tools installed. Tip to install the VMWare tools on Ubuntu / Debian (on a live VM, prior to creating the template):

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install open-vm-tools

To install the VMWare target, open the DM’s interactive mode and use one of the following options.
With the roboconf:target command:

# The version will be deduced automatically by the DM
roboconf:target vmware

Or with the native Karaf commands:

# Here in version 0.9
bundle:install --start mvn:net.roboconf/roboconf-target-iaas-vmware/0.9

VMWare support depends on your version.
What will most likely happens is that Roboconf will have several VMWare extensions, one per VMWare version.

Sample target.properties.
Just copy / paste and edit.
